There are dozens of important directory sites that you would have to send this information to, one at a time, which can take many of your own hours to process. Also, many important venues such as 411 Directory Assistance, Mobile phones and GPS Navigation devices have no way at all for you to submit data. In some cases our team will manually load the information if a directory does not take it electronically. The result for you is that you are in control of your own information and can create a consistent business listing across all of the search engines and directories. We send the business listing to all the major search engines and directories such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, Superpages and Yellowpages.com. We also submit to 411 Directory Assistance and GPS navigation devices as well as OnStar. This list is constantly expanding as we add more distribution.

EasyLocalListing provides more certainty about its distribution by working with the vendors who provide the underlying databases to the publishers, so it is not possible to deselect specific sites. A principle of EasyLocalListing is to make the data freely available to all legitimate search engines and directories in the industry in order for the business listings to be distributed. You may, of course, still claim your listing on individual sites if you prefer.

EasyLocalListing is not "claiming" existing listings in its process and, assuming the data matches, there should be no duplication; in fact when publishers see identical data coming from other reliable sources they can treat it as having more value. Publishers generally give precedence to information verified directly by a business owner, so if you are submitting your business information to directories on your own, you should make sure it is kept up to date.

You should allow 60 days for your listing to appear. Some directories will change the information within days or weeks, but others do not refresh their data for a month or two. We cannot control that but we can assure you we will make the data available to the publishers and database vendors within 24 hours of you submitting complete data.

No, most will use only the data elements that they typically publish. Some only publish bare minimum data such as phone number and address, but increasingly they will publish the enhanced data you provide.

We cannot guarantee that a directory will be able to match an enhanced listing (provided as part of EasyLocalListing) to your existing data, but we will provide every piece of information to ensure they can do so if at all possible. This includes a date stamp so the publisher knows that the information came directly from the business and is most likely newer than their standard data sources.

You should ONLY provide information that you want the public to have in order to contact you. We will not share this information directly with marketers or non-directory entities, but we cannot guarantee that the information will not be read online and used for this purpose. Of course the credit card payment information will be held securely and not made public.

As often as you wish through our support team. Remember though, that the directories will not update the information so regularly. EasyLocalListing is not a venue for promoting "weekly specials" or other data that changes frequently.

Many directories and data providers require the data of each listing to be resubmitted monthly, so we will be resubmitting at least some of your data on a regular basis. Some directories remove listings if they are not actively updated - it also helps keep data fresh and information about your business accurate.

If you do not renew after the notices we send or cancel your account, your record will be removed from our "active" file that we provide to the directories. Different sites and distribution partners will treat deactivated EasyLocalListings in different ways according to their policies. Some may keep the listing active and some may delete the record, and this, is beyond our control. EasyLocalListing will not actively ask the publishers to remove the listing unless you ask us to (if the business is closed or relocated, for example).

Yes. You may request a deletion of a listing that may be for a closed business or branch. EasyLocalListing will send the request to the data vendors on your behalf.
