What are mobile websites?

Mobile websites are an interpretation of an existing website built and customized for easier viewing on handheld devices. Aplus.net offers a highly advanced DMS (Device Management System) designed to deliver the best experience possible across all networks and mobile devices.

Do I need to purchase a new domain?

No. The mobile version of a website is built on a subdomain (i.e. M.sitename.com) from the primary website. Users accessing your website through their handheld device will automatically be redirected to your new mobile website.

Why do I need to have a hosting plan to purchase a mobile website plan?

Our mobile websites can only be generated and imported from existing websites hosted on our platform. This security is in place to protect users from importing websites and images they do not own.

Can I have more than one mobile website?

Yes, you can have one mobile website per domain name, all easily managed through the control panel. Each site is created, edited and published separately. To add an additional mobile website to your account, simply purchase an additional plan through the control panel.

What type of reporting will I be able to see?

All mobile website plans include real-time analytics and reporting. You will have access to detailed information such as traffic sources, pageviews, mobile devices, and content overview.

What is included in the do-it-for-me plan?

This plan includes a one-on-one design consultation, copy editing, hosting, a 5-page mobile site design and monthly maintenance.
NOTE: Customers must have an Aplus.net web design with maintenance package to qualify for this service.

What content can I display on my mobile website?

Images, text, videos*, music*, etc. - can be displayed on any of your mobile websites.
* Audio/video streaming available only on the Advanced plan.

Is it possible to preview my mobile website before publishing?

Yes, previewing is available and easy to do. You are able to navigate throughout your pre-live site prior to going live with one-click publishing.

How do I get my mobile website live?

Once you're happy with the content and look of your site, simply press the Publish button and your site immediately goes live.

Where do I login to access my mobile website?

To access your mobile website panel, log into the control panel, click the domain you would like to access, and click the Design tab. There you will see the Mobile Website icon.
